On October 28, 2024, Google Search Console reports showed only the data for that particular day, eliminating all the past data and displaying almost zero clicks and impressions on websites. This was scary since suddenly all the important reports and analysis vanished, leaving users with no clue regarding their possible site visits, engagements and overall performance, which is the primary method to understand whether the online marketing efforts are paying off or not. 

What Is A Performance Report Bug? 

It is a bug, error, or flaw in the software system that disrupts its normal performance. In this case, the bug temporarily deleted the existing data and stopped updating new data for report generation, resulting in an incorrect information display.

As per the news, all website owners and SEO professionals woke up to a terrifying situation where they found that the Google Search Console showed zero traffic and report details only highlighted the data of that particular day. However, Google Search Analyst John Mueller assured everyone that it was a problem on their side, and the company was immediately looking into it to solve that matter as soon as possible. However, the good news is that by mid-afternoon, the issue was successfully handled, and everything was back to normal.
