Top 10 SEO Strategies For Beginners - 2025

As a beginner in SEO (Search Engine Optimization), it is natural for you to feel that there is an ocean of topics to be explored and learned in this field. But to begin with and to create a strong foundation, here is a list of SEO strategies you may focus on in 2025 and beyond, making it easy for you to track and boost your site performance. Keyword Analysis - The first step towards an effective SEO strategy is proper keyword analysis. You can do it either by brainstorming, looking at the keyword suggestions at the bottom of the SERP, or using tools like Google Keyword Planner, Keyword Tool, SEMRush, Ubersuggest, etc. Long-tail keywords contribute to targeting specific customers. This should again be supported by additional or related keywords. It is always better to go for low-competition and high-volume ones.  Competitor Analysis - Once you get the keywords, analyze what type of search results are shown on the first page of Google and which are the sites that have good ranking. Long-Tail and Short-Tail Keywords

Quite unlike the names, neither long-tail nor short-tail keywords have any direct relation with the number of words they have. However, they are definitely related to the type of query or search that the visitor is trying to make in the search engine. Let us elaborate on this important topic of Search Engine Optimization(SEO).

Long-Tail and Short-Tail Keywords
When asked to explain short-tail or long-tail keywords, we often explain the former having a maximum of 3 to 4 words in them and the latter having more than that. But the actual logic is if you try to do a detailed or specific search, e.g. "Eco-friendly tote bags for women in Amazon"), you will end up giving a long description using many words. Thus, this is a long-tail keyword because you are searching for only eco-friendly tote bags, which are meant for women and sold on Amazon.

On the other hand, if you type "eco-friendly bags," your search widens to any eco-friendly bags that may be suitable for both men and women, may or may not be a tote bag, and may be sold by any e-commerce website. Moreover, this keyword does not even specify whether you really want to purchase the bags. So here you are just using 2- 3 words to describe your search. These types of keywords are short-tail ones.

Thus, from the above explanation, it is clear that short-tail keywords are more general in nature, and long-tail keywords are more precise or detailed in nature, irrespective of how many words they possess. It should also be noted that due to their general description, short-tail keywords will have a lot of competition compared to long-tail ones.

However, what type of keyword you need to use in your content and how you research and find the same to promote the website, products, and services will depend on many factors, such as the kind of products and services that you provide, the market that you would like to cater to, the volume of sales you plan to meet, the competition levels, and so on.

I hope I have provided some valuable insight into the topic. If you like it, let me know in the comments.

Technology In Brand Marketing

Big brands and established companies are gearing up for better implementation of technology and digital tools like Google Analytics, MCFX, AWeber, Optimizely, etc, to boost their marketing efforts. They believe that use of such tools and softwares to create online presence will contribute to better management of projects, customers and talent along with acquisition and retention of correct customer base through proper data analysis and integration.  Use of Artificial Intelligence is of course a part of the list, but many are not considering it to be among the top priorities. The main reason behind it is the use of data in AI. Many data collection systems and techniques are outdated and often fail to fetch the correct information to give accurate results. Moreover, data is often fragmented and scattered, making it challenging to interpret them properly. In such a condition, AI will not be able to deliver the desired result, and thus lead to misinformation, misrepresentation and l...

Search GPT- A Threat To Google?

The recent launch of the Search GPT tool by OpenAI may prove to be a game changer and a serious threat to  Google's 90% market share. Search GPT is like a search engine but combined with AI, which can generate search results in a more organized and user-friendly manner with a personal touch in the form of suggestions or better ideas.  Both Google and Search GPT have access to real-time web information. So, what is so different about the latter? The secret lies in the answer delivery style.  When asked a specific question, Google will give you a list of links and pages that might help you to get an answer to your query, but Search GPT will give you a wholesome and well-researched suggestion that will already contain the details of what you should exactly do to complete the work. A more personalized touch, isn’t it?  Thus, Google, the undisputed king of the search engine market for decades, may now find it difficult to maintain its place in the face...
